- To what extent did you choose an issue that you genuinely care about? Why is this something you are passionate about? Did you just pick low hanging fruit or go for something you really care about?
- I loved the topic I chose. Climate change is not my senior project, but it is my passion. I have been an activist for climate change for the past year, and I am constantly learning about it. I have been active in the Durango community, and on social media.

- What did you learn from this process that will help you with my senior project? (Research skills? Ways of being effective in making an impact? Etc..)
- I think the largest thing I learned for my senior project through this project is how to make an impact. I loved being able to study what other people are doing as their approach on the issue, and create mine that is more realistic/relatable to my life and community. For example, POW reaches a large community on their social media, but the largest impact I can realistically make is in my school. I learned how to create a realistic but impactful approach to a complex issue, and this will help me tremendously in my senior action project.
- What was the most valuable/informative/interesting part of this assignment?
- The most interesting part of my research in this project, was learning about how little the US is doing in comparison to other countries. We are pulling back on policies while other countries are doing everything they can. It really makes me passionate to make a change in my community the best I can, and actually try to influence politicians.
- What is one thing Ashley could have done to improve this project the most? OR What is one thing YOU could have done to improve your own work?
- I loved how Ashley broke this project up in to parts because it would have felt overwhelming to do it all at once. The only thing I think could be reformed is the Through line podcast. I didn't see a whole lot of value in this, unless it was required that it had to be on your topic. My podcast was not about my topic, and I didn't feel like I used any of it to create a better project. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything about the project.
