Strengths and Weaknesses
The two strengths I wrote down were leadership and open mindedness. I put down leadership, because it is a skill I think I have developed over the years and working in groups a lot. I was interesting, seeing what my other fellow project managers wrote down as strengths. It turns out that every single one of us put leadership as a strength. We talked about how this was a good quality for us in this project, but that we didn’t want to overpower the rest of the groups and become dictators.
As for my weaknesses, I put down risk taker and effective communication. I think that I struggle with keeping my mind in the direction of taking risks because it can be really scary. I usually am creative about the idea I create, but I almost never try to purposely take risks when it come to group or individual work. The other weakness I wrote down was effective communication. While I do think I excel in being a leader in group settings, I am not always good at getting my ideas heard and communicating my ideas to the other group members. I tend to have good ideas, and no share them because I feel as if they are going to be put n=down, or the group not hear the ideas fully.
Something that was really amazing when my group and I shared, was that one of our weaknesses, was almost always another person in the group’s strengths. This was fascinating to me. I saw this as a way for my group members and I to really support each other to improve on our weaknesses throughout this project.
