What are Presentations of Learning?
At the end of each semester, every student at Animas completes a presentation of learning (or POL for short). This is a unique program to Animas in which students reflect and present on the past semester instead of taking final tests in each of their classes. These presentations are usually stand and deliver style in front of a panel of both teachers and students. Some presentations are more unique than stand and deliver, but are just as important to refining and strengthening our reflection and public speaking skills. One of the more unique presentations include an interview before our LINK internship junior year, in which we find a job to "apply" for, create a cover letter/resume, and conduct an interview done by two of our teachers. POL's are one of the many ways Animas students get to practice and perfect their public speaking skills, and it is very valuable to the school culture.
